ON THIS DAY, October 31st, 1993, NIRVANA took to the stage at the James A Rhodes Arena, Akron, Ohio, in full Halloween spirit. Kurt Cobain dressed as Barney the dinosaur, Pat Smear as Slash, Dave Grohl as a mummy, and Krist Novoselic as Cheers actor Ted Danson. The show was photographed by Jay Brown (JFotoman Photography), with backstage photos by Shelli Hyrkas.
